INTRODUCING THE BRC LEGACY FUND

Help secure the future of rowing in Brockville.

Dear Friends of the BRC, 

Over the past three years, the Brockville Rowing Club has experienced a remarkable resurgence.  Thanks to Head Coach Tyler St. John, our volunteer coaches, Board members, donors and community advocates, the BRC and its youth program are thriving.  This past season, 45 youth rowers represented the Club at ten regattas, 65 young people discovered rowing through our summer camps, and in September, the BRC received the Community Excellence Award from the Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce.  

We are incredibly proud of this progress - but we also know how quickly it could be lost.  Only a few years ago, the BRC faced the very real possibility of closing its doors, and the Club continues to rely heavily on annual fundraising to cover its overhead expenses.  The new BRC Legacy Fund is our next step to build lasting financial stability so that rowing can continue to flourish in Brockville for generations to come.  

Our sincere thank you to everyone who has helped bring the club to where we are today.  We hope you will join us in securing what comes next.

The BRC Legacy Fund is administered by the Brockville & Area Community Foundation, providing professional oversight and continuity as the Club's leadership and coaching staff change.


 

MATCHED FUNDS

For a limited time, every eligible donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar while matching funds remain available. Now is the time!

 

SUSTAINABILITY

Annual proceeds from the endowment fund will help cover less visible - but essential - operating costs to keep the BRC going indefinitely.


 

TAX RECEIPTS

An official tax receipt will be issued by email immediately after an online donation is completed on the BRC website.


 

CALENDAR GIFT

As a thank-you, every donor will receive a 2027 BRC Legacy Calendar, featuring images from the river taken by our coaches, parents and crew during the 2026 rowing season.

 

CELEBRATION IN JULY

Founding Donors will be acknowledged at our Crew of Valour event on July 2, 2027 - save the date!  A Founding Donor Plaque recognizing all Leadership Gifts given will also be presented (see below).
